Organic Food Colour at Home

Take some chopped red cabbage. Add water and cook for 10 minutes in medium flame. Strain the juice. The beaming bright purple food color is ready to be used.
If you make the above color then pink food color is simple enough. As we know already that if we mix a certain color with another one you get a new one. That technique works here.You can get the beautiful pink food colour by just adding a few drops of lemon extract in purple color.
You can get the blue color with the help of same purple food color. Take the purple food color and add a pinch of baking soda in it. Once you add the baking soda, it turn into eastern blue color.
Take chopped beet root. Similarly add water and cook them in low medium flame for about 10 minutes. Strain the juice, Your rich red food color is ready.
If you wish to have a strong red one. Once you boil the beet root allow them to cool and blend it to smooth paste. Strain and use the red food color.
Take some hot water. To that add few strands of saffron in it. Allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes and strain them. The lovely radiant yellow food color will be formed.
Take few thinly sliced carrot. Add water and cook them for 10 minutes in medium flame. Let them cool for some time. Once cooled strain the water and transfer them to them to the mixer jar and blend it to smooth paste.
Make sure that you do not add water in it. Strain the juice alone. Now you would have got the glowing orange food color.
Blend mint and coriander leaves together. Strain the juice. Nice green color is ready.
When these natural food coloring mixed with frosting, icing or batter will create lovely pastels rather then incredibly vibrant and nearly neon hues. These food coloring can also be stored. Pour the liquid into ice cube trays and freeze them.
Note: Please keep in mind that all these concentrated color recipes are all natural and home made. So when you add in it requires a large amount to get the color. However the taste remain same yet healthier.
