Here we are preparing a crunchie and crispy veg lollipop with a sauce dip by a side. It is yummy and tasty one. It take some time to prepare, but it is easy one. Here we are using vegetables instead of that we can add chicken too. Especially kids will enjoy to eat this veg lollipop. So try doing this recipe and send us the feedback about this recipe.

Ingredients For Veg Lollipop:

To make the lollipop:

  • Boiled potatoes – 3 medium size
  • Carrots – 1 medium finely chopped
  • Capsicum – 1/2 finely chopped
  • Green Chilies – 2 finely chopped
  • Onions – 1 small finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves chopped
  • Paneer – 50 grams grated
  • Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
  • Few pepper powder
  • Bread crumbs – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp

To make the batter:

  • All-purpose flour / Maida – 1 tbsp
  • Cornflour – 1 tbsp
  • Pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water

To make the sauce:

  • Oil – 1 tsp
  • Garlic and Ginger – 1 tsp finely chopped
  • Onion – 1 tsp chopped
  • Capsicum – 1 tsp
  • Red chilli sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Soy sauce – 1 tsp
  • Tomato ketchup – 3 tbsp
  • White Vinegar – 1 tsp
  • Cornflour slurry
  • Pepper powder
  • Water

Preparation:

To make the lollipop:

  • Take a pressure cooker, add the potatoes and pour enough water to cook them for about 3 to 4 whistle.
  • Once the potatoes is done, peel off the skin and transfer it to the bowl.
  • Smash the potatoes in that add some finely chopped capsicum, carrot, onion, coriander leaves and grated paneer.
  • Sprinkle some chilli powder, crushed pepper and salt to enhance the taste. Mix altogether well.
  • Add some bread crumbs into it and mix them.
  • Now take a little mixture of it and shape them into oval or round as per desire. Take a popsicle stick and gently insert into it like a lollipop. Keep them aside let all sets well.

To make a batter:

  • To make a batter take a bowl add some all-purpose flour, maida, a pinch of salt and crushed pepper.
  • Pour little water and mix everything well to a thick paste consistency.
  • Now dip the lollipop which we already prepared in the batter.
  • Make sure that the lollipop should dip fully in the batter. Immediately put the lollipop in the breadcrumbs and coat them to all sides.

To make the sauce:

  • Place a sauce pan on the stove, drizzle some oil into it, add some finely chopped garlic, ginger, onion and capsicum.
  • Stir them for a while, once it turns transparent add red chilli sauce, soy sauce, tomato ketchup and vinegar.
  • Now pour little cornflour slurry into it to thicken the sauce and combine them.
  • If you wish add some crushed pepper and turn off the stove.
  • Take a kadai pour enough oil to deep fry the lollipop, once the oil gets heated, gently drop one by one and deep fry them.
  • Deep fry them until it turns to golden brown color. Once it is done transfer them to the platter.
  • Here the crunchie and crispy veg lollipop is ready to serve hot with sauce dip by a side.
